Javed Ahmed

Chief Executive

Joined the Board as Chief Executive in October 2009. Javed has extensive international experience from a wide variety of senior commercial and management roles. He started his career with Procter & Gamble and then spent five years with Bain & Co. before joining Benckiser (later Reckitt Benckiser plc) in 1992 where he gained significant experience of international consumer goods markets and held positions including Senior Vice President, Northern Europe; President, North America; Executive Vice President, North America, Australia and New Zealand; and Executive Vice President, Europe.

Javed is a member of the Nominations Committee.

Tim Lodge

Chief Financial Officer

Joined the Group in 1988 and joined the Board in December 2008 as Group Finance Director. Has held a number of senior operational and financial roles, both in the UK and internationally, including Managing Director of Zambia Sugar; Group Financial Controller; Finance Director of the Food & Industrial Ingredients, Europe division; and Director of Investor Relations. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. In June 2010 his title was changed to Group Financial Officer.

Rob Luijten

Executive Vice President, Human Resources

Rob joined Tate & Lyle as Executive Vice President, Human Resources in February 2010. He began his career with Inamed Corporation (now part of Allergan Inc), a global medical device company. Rob then spent ten years with GE Plastics (now SABIC Innovative Plastics) where he held a number of senior Human Resources roles in both Europe and Asia, including five years based in Shanghai as GE Plastics' Human Resources Director, Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Tate & Lyle, Rob was Human Resources Director for Africa, Middle East and Asia for BG Group PLC. He holds a Masters degree in Human Resource Studies from Tilburg University, The Netherlands.

Robert Gibber

Executive Vice President and General Counsel

A solicitor, Robert joined Tate & Lyle in 1990 as a commercial lawyer. He previously worked for City law firms Wilde Sapte and Herbert Oppenheimer. He graduated from Wadham College, Oxford in Oriental Studies (Chinese) in 1984. He was appointed General Counsel in 1997 and was Company Secretary from 2001 to July 2012.

Karl Kramer

President, Innovation and Commercial Development

Karl joined Tate & Lyle in April 2008 and in June 2008 was named President, Tate & Lyle Sucralose. He has more than 27 years experience in the food and beverage industries in a variety of functional and international capacities. Upon obtaining his Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, he began his career in R&D at General Foods where he received several U.S. patents for his work in product and process development. His early career also included a brand management assignment at Nestle.

Later, Karl worked in the NutraSweet Kelco Division of Monsanto in several domestic and international sales management roles. Prior to joining Tate & Lyle, Karl worked for the flavour division of Givaudan where he served in various General Management roles including international assignments in Mexico, Brazil and Switzerland. In addition to his engineering degree Karl holds an MBA from the New York University Stern School of business. In June 2010 Karl was appointed President, Innovation and Commercial Development.

Olivier Rigaud

President, Speciality Food Ingredients

Olivier joined Amylum in 1988 as sales manager in France. A graduate of Chemistry from University Aix-Marseille, Olivier has held various management positions in Belgium including Industrial products, Liquid Sweeteners and alcohol sales. On Tate & Lyle's acquisition of Amylum, Olivier became Vice President Food Ingredients, in charge of reshaping the European portfolio and expanding the EU Sucralose business. He led the acquisitions of Cesalpinia Foods and G. C. HAHN & Co and in July 2008 was appointed President, Food & Industrial Ingredients, Europe. June 2010 he was appointed President, Speciality Food Ingredients.

Matt Wineinger

President, Bulk Ingredients

Matthew joined Tate & Lyle in March 2008 as President, Tate & Lyle Food and Industrial Ingredients Americas. A graduate of Kansas State University, Matthew studied Animal Science and Industry and started his career in the Food Products Division at Procter & Gamble. He has since had several roles including Director of Retail Programs for the National Livestock and Meat Board, located in Chicago, IL, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Gargiulo Farms, a division of Monsanto and Director of Retail Public Relations for Posilacâ„¢, again a division of Monsanto. In 2002 Matthew was appointed President of Global Sales, Marketing and Research & Development for Cargill Meat Solutions in Wichita, Kansas. And prior to joining Tate & Lyle, Matthew was President of Australian Meat Holdings, a division of Swift and Co. just outside of Brisbane, Australia. In June 2010 Matthew was appointed President, Bulk Ingredients.
