Welcome to Tate & Lyle's Business Code of Conduct. It sets out how we do
business, explains what stakeholders can expect from us, and states what we require from our employees and look for in our business partners.

Doing business in a responsible manner is not only in our long-term interests, but is in the interests of all our stakeholders and of the environment. This means operating to high social, ethical and environmental standards in all circumstances. By working together responsibly and ethically, we can be proud of the contribution we make commercially and to society as a whole.

Supply Chain Policy
Tate & Lyle expects its suppliers to uphold international business standards and to be fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to those regarding freedom of association and collective bargaining, non-discrimination, working hours, wages, health & safety, protection of the environment, anti-corruption / anti-bribery, and the prevention of child or forced labour: and, that they comply with the standards, expectations and commitments in Tate & Lyle’s Business Code of Conduct.

Supplier Diversity
Tate & Lyle recognizes the importance of diversity in all areas of our business. As responsible corporate citizens, we are committed to supporting the growth of businesses owned by minorities and women. It is our policy to ensure that all companies, regardless of race or gender of ownership, have the opportunity to earn our business. Tate & Lyle seeks to award business to companies that can meet our needs. Supplier selection is based on a number of elements including quality, price, service, financial viability, technical competence, capability to deliver, and overall risk analysis. Tate & Lyle will select suppliers from those that best meet our selection criteria.  Preference will be given to minority suppliers that meet our selection criteria.

Political Donations
Political donations (as defined in the Companies Act 2006) in the European Union ("EU") or by EU companies may only be made under Tate & Lyle PLC Board direction.  Under current policy there are no EU political donations.  Political donations by subsidiaries outside the EU must be approved by the Chief Executive and notified to the Company Secretary.  The Group's political donations are reported to the Board annually.

Whistle-blowing
Tate & Lyle supports its employees and other legitimate stakeholders to come forward with any information concerning any actual or alleged breaches of this Code. Stakeholders may contact an independent third party, Safecall, to report any concerns. No employee will suffer as a consequence of a good faith effort to bring to light evidence of non-compliance with the Code.
