In addition to great taste, SODA-LO® Salt Microspheres provides the necessary functionality of salt. SODA-LO® Salt Microspheres tastes, labels and functions like salt because it is salt.

The patented all-natural technology behind SODA-LO® Salt Microspheres turns standard sea salt crystals into free-flowing hollow microspheres. These hollow microspheres are much smaller than regular salt crystals but deliver big flavour, providing clean salt taste with up to 50% less sodium.

Tate & Lyle is a leader in the industry in understanding consumers’ views on health and wellness and the role it plays in their diet. When we surveyed 8800 consumers around the globe, they told us what they think and what they want. Studies show that 51% of consumers worldwide are looking to reduce salt/ sodium in their diet. In fact, sodium content has now surpassed fat as the most frequently checked nutrient on nutrition labels. Public health regulations and policies are calling for help in reducing the sodium content of foods from food manufacturers and food service providers.

SODA-LO® Salt Microspheres is salt, so it has the taste and functionalities of salt. A lot of other sodium reduction ingredients in the market place have off flavours because they are not salt and may not replace the functionality of salt. SODA-LO® has that great clean salt taste consumers want and salt functionality food manufacturers need.
