Introduction to our CMS Starch line
Also known as
Chaodee Modified Starch

Our line of CMS Starch products provide thickening and work well across a range of processing conditions. This cost-effective line of cook-up starches is produced from tapioca and as such is Non-GMO and provides the clean flavour, neutral colour, and soft-gel like texture that are inherent qualities of all tapioca starch. There is a large range of starches including the following seven, and they vary in their ability to resist breakdown under processing stresses as well as their shelf stability.

CMS - C1 is a thickening starch based on tapioca and is Non-GMO. It is used in noodles, dumplings and processed meats, where it helps restrict the swelling in meat and provides a firm, chewy desirable texture suitable for noodles due to its dough-binding properties. Its short shelf-life is suitable for both refrigerated and ambient applications and has lower resistance to breakdown during cooking.

CMS - C2 is a thickening starch based on tapioca and is Non-GMO.

CMS - C3 is a thickening starch based on tapioca and is Non-GMO. It is used in retort and canning products. This short shelf-life starch provides a desirable semi-solid gel-like texture that is suitable for both refrigerated and ambient applications and has medium resistance to breakdown during cooking.

CMS - V2H is a thickening starch based on tapioca and is Non-GMO. It is used in noodles and dumplings. This long shelf-life starch provides faster hydration for noodles and moisture retention in dumplings and is suitable for frozen, refrigerated, or ambient applications and has low resistance to breakdown during cooking.

CMS - PFT1000 is a thickening starch based on tapioca and is Non-GMO. It is used in dumplings, ambient and frozen noodles.
