Staley Grain, Inc. purchases the assets of Walsh Grain in Farmer City, Illinois

Farmer City, IL – Effective May 9, Staley Grain, Inc. purchased the assets of Walsh Grain located in Farmer City. Staley is currently developing plans to renovate the facility with new grain receiving and drying equipment. Improvements at the location will be completed in time for fall harvest. Doug Halcomb of Farmer City has been named manager of the facility effective June 1. Staley Grain also operates area grain elevators at Heyworth, Wapella, and LeRoy, Illinois, as well as at five other locations in Illinois and Indiana. Staley Grain is part of the A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company, one of the largest corn refiners in the U.S. and part of Tate & Lyle PLC, a world leader in carbohydrate processing.
