The MERIZET® Starch line is used in powder mixes, cereals, pet foods, soups, sauces, dressings and similar products to provide thickening, bulking and powder drying properties. This line of cook-up starches is produced from corn. There are eight (8) starches in this line of products which vary in their labelling, moisture level, microbial specification and powder flow properties.
MERIZET® 100 Starch
MERIZET® 100 Starch is a thickening starch produced from corn, which is certified as non-GMO. It is used in a wide variety of foods to provide cost effective thickening and bulking and expanded texture in extruded cereals. This starch has very low shelf stability and very low resistance to breakdown during cooking.

MERIZET® 115 Starch is a functional powder produced from corn, which is certified as non-GMO. It is used in a wide variety of foods to provide easier powder handling with cost effective thickening, bulking and gelling texture upon storage. MERIZET® 150 Starch is a functional powder produced from corn, which is certified as non-GMO and to which a very small amount of oil is added to reduce dustiness. This starch is used in the moulding, depositing and drying processes of jelly candies to absorb moisture from the candy during stoving. This starch also enhances tray printing by reducing starch adhesion to the mould and ensures that shape is retained prior to depositing.
