This is Veronica. She joined Tate & Lyle in June 2012 and has held a number of leadership roles across general management, research and development, applications, technology and product development. On 1 October 2026, Veronica was appointed Acting Chief Science and Innovation Officer. Prior to this, she served as Senior Vice President, Research, Development and Solution Innovation, leading global teams focused on customer-centric innovation and solutions.
As our Acting Chief Science and Innovation Officer, Veronica leads Tate & Lyle's global Science & Innovation organisation, which partners with customers to develop science-led ingredient solutions that help create healthier, tastier and more sustainable food and drink. She is responsible for the company's research and development, applications, product development and innovation capabilities.
Before joining Tate & Lyle, Veronica held executive leadership positions in research and development, and product innovation at Aryzta/Otis Spunkmeyer, Fresh Start Bakeries, Pennant Foods, and Chef Solutions.
Veronica holds a degree in Food Science and Food Processing Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico, ITESM. She completed The Advanced Strategy Program: Building and Implementing Growth Strategies at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
