Head of Nutrition Research

With a passion for advancing nutrition science, Ali combines specialist expertise in carbohydrate nutrition and clinical research. Ali joined Tate & Lyle in January 2026 as the Head of Nutrition Research, where her passion for clinical research comes to life in creating the nutrition research strategy and managing the nutrition research program. She brings over 20 years of experience in the food industry, research associations and the NHS, most recently heading up Sugar Nutrition UK.  She holds a doctorate in Diabetes research and a degree in Human Nutrition. She is a member several professional nutrition associations that keep  her on top of what’s new in nutrition science and further fuel her passion.  Outside of work, Ali enjoys fitness, gardening, interior design and travel.
