Tate & Lyle Supplier Code of Conduct

All Suppliers working with Tate & Lyle must either agree to comply with this Code or provide their own code of conduct, as long as it meets our requirements. This Supplier Code of Conduct (the “Code”) sets out the minimum standards that we expect from our Suppliers.

We see diversity as a key driver of business performance, growth and innovation and value the competitive edge it brings to our sourcing practices.

In order to develop a supply base that reflects the diverse global marketplace, we are committed to ensuring that all companies are given fair consideration to provide goods and services to our business.

We believe a diverse supply base helps us:

  • Better understand and serve a broad spectrum of customers
  • Sustain and progressively transform our supply chain by reflecting the demographics of the community we operate in
  • Provide economic development opportunities for diverse suppliers

We are keen to work with a mix of suppliers from around the world and encourage all certified businesses to complete a new supplier form. If you match our needs, we will be in touch.

Our objective is to create long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with diverse suppliers globally. 

To ensure an efficient e-invoicing process, please adhere to the following requirements:

- all documents must be sent in PDF format,

- each PDF file should contain only one document, with the first page displaying the actual inquiry image,

- multiple attachments in a single email are acceptable,

- the Purchase Order (PO) number must be included on the document.

1. Where should I send my invoices to?

Send invoices only by email to the P2P Invoice Capture mailbox. Use the following email addresses depending on your region:

Only submit invoices to our invoice capture mailbox. Any other type of documents such as letters, statements, and other correspondence will not be read nor processed.

 

2. What information is required on the invoice? 

In order to have all your invoices correctly processed and recorded in our system, the following information must be provided on each invoice:

  • Addressed of the Business Entity named as ‘Bill To’ on the Purchase Order (See Sample Purchase Order for more information)

  • Purchase Order Number (e.g. 4500075411) and Line Item (i.e. 10,20,30)

  • Business Contact details

  • Suppliers Name, Address, and Contact Details

  • The word Invoice (or if a credit, the words Credit Note)

  • Supplier unique Invoice Number MUST be included.

  • Invoice Date

  • Currency on invoice must match Purchase Order listed.

  • Value and Currency

  • Quantity and description of goods or services provided.

  • If applicable, Tax Rate and Tax ID.

 

3. When should I send my invoices?

Just after goods are dispatched or service is provided. 

 

4. When can I expect my payment to be executed?

At Tate & Lyle, we strive to pay our invoices in time and conjunction with negotiated supplier payment terms.   Please note, as we move to a more paperless environment our method of vendor payment is ACH. 

 

5. To whom I should contact in case of payment status?

Our P2P team is available to provide you with support anytime you have any query related to your payments. Those email addresses can be found on our website in the Accounts Payable tab.

 

6. To whom I should contact in case of Purchase Order queries?

You should direct your query to your business contact mentioned in the PO details on the PO you received. 

 

7. Why should I reference your PO number and Line Item on my invoices?

At Tate & Lyle we operate a strict ‘No PO, No Pay’ policy which means that referencing a purchase order and line item is mandatory when invoicing. Without a PO, you are taking the risk that it may not be paid for goods or service provided or payment may be delayed therefore, never Invoice or accept a request for goods or services without receipt of a Tate and Lyle Purchase Order.
