bakery, breakfast cereals, convenience food, dairy, fruit preparations, snacks
MERIGEL starches are made from corn and waxy maize and designed to thicken in water, providing excellent texturing agents for cold-processed or instant foods. They add texture to desserts, dressings, soups and fruit preparations. MERIGEL starches also provide binding and expansion in cereals, snacks and crispy coatings.
MERIGEL cuts fat in chips and snacks
Manufacturers of chips, crisps, snacks and crackers can move from the traditional frying process to an oven-baking process by using MERIGEL 300. Fat content is reduced without sacrificing taste or texture.
