Introduction to KOL GUARD® Starch

Our KOL GUARD® Starch line includes both non-GMO and traditional products. Ideal for use in neutral to acidic food systems, KOL GUARD® improves pH and stability during processing. KOL GUARD® starches are ideal for use in applications such as yoghurt, soups, sauces and dressings to provide thickening in foods stored under ambient or refrigerated conditions for short periods.

Our KOL GUARD® Starch range provides a thick creamy texture and offers varying shelf stability depending on your product requirements.

KOL GUARD® Starch
The KOL GUARD® Starch line is used in applications like yogurt, soups, sauces and dressings to provide thickening in foods stored under ambient or refrigerated conditions for short periods. This line of cook-up starches is produced from corn. There are 4 starches in this line which vary in their ability to resist breakdown under processing stresses.
KOL GUARD® 383 NG
KOL GUARD® 383 NG is a thickening starch produced from corn and is certified as non-GMO. This starch is used in yogurt and other dairy applications. It provides thick, creamy texture, medium shelf stability and very high resistance to breakdown during cooking.
