Summers of opportunity with our internship programme
“I was very encouraged by the willingness of supervisors to work with me and explain the importance of the job,” says Ryan Windhorst, a former Tate & Lyle intern who is now a Citric Acid Accounting Manager.
We have built a tradition of internship opportunities at our US sites, giving university students summer work and helping us find excellent employees. “For the past several years, we’ve hired interns into finance, engineering and research and development at our Lafayette, Loudon and Decatur sites,” says Michelle Dalluge, HR Specialist. “In the fall we go to campus career fairs to get the word out about opportunities; the top candidates are interviewed on site.”
Another former intern, Decatur Operations Manager Tom Robinson, now recruits graduate engineers across the Company, so he knows the benefits from both sides. “It provides quality experience for students, and it definitely helps with our recruiting efforts,” he says.
