Accounting (internship)
Weston Adcock - Bio-PDO Accountant

Weston Adcock - Bio-PDO Accountant
As an accountancy student Weston Adcock had two internships with Tate & Lyle, and joined our management trainee program on graduating in 2007. Having grown up on a farm that supplied grain to Tate & Lyle, he’s more familiar with the ingredients side than most accountants!
The intern process helps you decide if you and Tate & Lyle are a good fit, and that was certainly the case for Weston. “A friendly place, a flat hierarchy, exposure to different parts of the business – just what I was looking for,” he says. A year after joining, Weston went to the London head office for two months to learn about the year-end process, when management and financial information is prepared for the annual report and accounts.
Describing himself as ambitious, Weston recently began one of his most challenging roles yet – as accountant for the joint venture DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products, one of the world’s largest renewable materials facilities.
